Bath Soak: Did you know that our skin is the most absorbent organ in the body? Most of us know the toll stress takes on our body, especially the adrenal system. Epsom mineral salts in water absorb through the skin to help with muscle cramps and general achiness. Soaking in the salts can help increase sleep since the magnesium also releases serotonin, which makes us feel happy and calm. The practice of bathing in salts has been used for thousands of years for relaxation, detoxification, and relief for achy muscles, sprains and bruises. Cleansing and skin healing herbs were combined with pure essential oils in this relaxing bath soak.
Chest Rub: This rub is a natural decongestant infused with stimulating herbs to help move congestion combined with pure essential oils for aromatherapy. It is a great way to help with sleep at night.
Cold Care Tea: Nurture your body with a warm cup of this tea. Great for relieving the common cold symptoms and stimulating the immune system.
Tranquilitea: Chill out! These herbs are known to help calm your nerves and soothe your body, relieving anxiety, insomnia, and stress.
Charcoal Salve: Draws foreign matter and toxins from cuts and wounds. Externally apply when needed.
Calendula Oil: Calendula oil can help to heal skin. Use externally for sunburn, dry skin, rashes, fungus, scars, sprains, and bruises.
Healing Salve: Each one of these herbs has been known to have unique healing properties for repairing damaged skin. Calendula, the main herb ingredient in this salve, helps to heal wounds and can support new cell growth. It is found in most natural skin products. It is gentle but does the job at relieving things like rashes, sunburn, diaper rash, you name it! It also can help to heal bruises and scarring. Comfrey is another amazing skin healing herb. Its folk name “knit bone” comes from its ability to speed recovery of bones and skin. It helps to repair damaged skin and keeps the skin soft and nourished. Essential oil of lavender is strongly antiseptic, helping to heal burns, wounds, and sores. Externally apply when needed.
Chaga Chai Tea: This herbal mix is a powerhouse of warmth. The chaga in our chai was wild-harvested in northern Pennsylvania. Chaga is a health food that supports the entire system. It is a very powerful mushroom that is LOADED with antioxidants. It has a rich earth-like smoky vanilla flavor. When paired with the chai spices, the taste and aroma will knock you off of your feet! We also used several other awesome medicinal roots and herbs in your chai for cleansing and nourishing the body, especially great during the changing of seasons.
Antiseptic Spray: Combining antiseptic herbs infused in witch hazel, aloe vera juice and hydrosols created this potent spray. The process of creation is long, but the results are well worth it. Take advantage what our local antiseptic plants have to offer and nourish yourself with the healing power of herbs.
Sun Shield: We like to think if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t put it on your body. Red Raspberry seed oil has a natural SPF of 28-50 and carrot seed oil has a natural SPF of 30-40, coconut oil 3-5 and shea butter 5-8! These natural antioxidants help to protect the body from free radical damage and prevent premature aging. It is water resistant from the beeswax, however we cannot claim that our product has a specific SPF since it has not been tested.
Roots & Shoots: Spring tonics with herbs high in nutrients and minerals that help to stimulate and discharge our blood are good for our digestive, lymphatic and urinary system. We make our tonic with alternative, nutritive and diuretic herbs. Our spring tonic is made by infusing mineral-rich fresh spring roots and tender green shoots in apple cider vinegar. It can be used as an edible medicine by using it on a salad or can be taken by the tablespoon.
Lip Balm: This lip balm will relieve cracked, chapped, sore lips. Coconut oil, beeswax, cocoa and shea butter do an excellent job at hydrating and healing skin. In research studies, lemon balm has been shown to have polyphenols. The polyphenols give lemon balm fantastic antiviral actions. Lemon balm helps heal cold sores in about 3-5 days. It’s also useful on chicken pox and shingles, helping to heal the sores a lot quicker than being left on their own.
Nature’s Bandage: Yarrow’s folk name “natures stitches” is exactly what it does. Yarrow is a styptic and contains alkaloids, which make blood clot faster. It acts as an astringent and dries excessive bleeding and is the plant Achilles used to stop his comrades’ wounds from bleeding. The use of Yarrow goes back some 60,000 years to the Neanderthals since it was discovered fossilized in burial caves.
Cleanse Blend: This herbal tea blend can help invigorate your natural cleansing cycles during the spring season. These herbs aid in detoxification through the process of invigorating organs like the liver and kidneys to get things moving and flowing, especially by cleansing the blood. Spicebush, a main ingredient in this tea, has a wonderful aromatic flavor and was used regularly by indigenous peoples of North America and was adopted as a substitute for English tea during the tea boycotts in early colonial times.
Ear Oil: If you have ever had an earache, you know how uncomfortable they can be. If you catch your earache early on, you can aid in healing it with mullein garlic ear oil. This mullein and garlic oil is a simple remedy for easing pain and helping to eliminate buildup or bacteria forming in our sensitive ears. Perfect for weather change irritation and swimmers ear!
Holy Basil: Holy Basil is one of the most highly regarded adaptogen herbs. An adaptogen will help you adapt to stress while restoring balance and increase your body’s resistance to all kinds of stressors. Many of us in our culture suffer from adrenal stress, which means we overwork our body without the nourishment of food and sleep. We run on overdrive with the help of caffeine and other stimulants that all end up depleting our body in the end. Holy basil to the rescue! Its taste and smell is tropical, almost fruit-like.
